The organ works of Théodore Dubois, whose centenary of death was marked last year, are assessed by John Riley. A modern-day French figure is celebrated, too, as Gavin Barrett takes us on a tour of the ten-year-old Aubertin organ commissioned by Paul Griffiths and Joanna Marsh in East Sussex. Huw Morgan describes a very different organ, that in Theatr Soar, Merthyr Tydfil, recently restored by Goetze & Gwynn. We explore varied composers: R. R. Terry as hymnwriter, and James Wood’s astonishing Tempestas in memoriam for four organs in different locations!
